The Copper Beech Group of Companies is the single family office of the Rogers-Hixon family and is led by Melinda Rogers-Hixon, its principal. Copper Beech was established to manage the Rogers-Hixon family’s assets, advance its commitment to active philanthropy and serve as a platform for entrepreneurial investments across a diversified array of industries around the world.

Ms. Rogers-Hixon launched Copper Beech in 2024, following her more than 20-year tenure at Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX: RCI.A and RCI.B), the leading Canadian telecommunications and media conglomerate founded by her late father, Ted. An experienced operator and seasoned corporate director, Ms. Rogers-Hixon served in progressively senior executive roles throughout her time in the family business and was the deputy chair of its board of directors for six years. In 2024, RCI had revenues of more than $20 billion CAD and employed about 24,000 serving almost 12 million customers across Canada. Ms. Rogers-Hixon also continues to serve as vice chair of the Rogers Control Trust, a private trust that holds the voting control of RCI for the benefit of the Rogers family. Ms. Rogers-Hixon also serves as a director on the board of Bombardier Inc. (TSX: BBD.B), which she joined in 2021.

Copper Beech has two distinct divisions. Copper Beech Capital oversees a multi-asset class portfolio and partners with leading investment managers and successful entrepreneurs. The Rogers-Hixon Foundation governs and oversees the family’s charitable endeavours and philanthropic giving programs.

Copper Beech believes in the power of shared traditions and collective experiences to create lasting meaning in both work and life, partnering with organizations that invest in their people and empower them to make a positive, long-term impact in their communities. The family office and its principals embrace curiosity, entrepreneurship, resilience, humility and integrity as its core values.
